The more you love and accept yourself, the more TRUE you are to yourself in every way, the more love, joy, and beautiful experiences will flow into your life! This is a lesson that took me a while to fully understand. I had to go through a lot of rejection and pain, but I finally decided that I had enough at one point in my life, many years ago. I was tired of hiding aspects of myself that I felt were weird, in fear of what others would think. So I made the conscious decision to begin to listen to my heart over any other voice. I will tell you, it is a process (since we are all so programmed), but the more I dedicated myself to discovering, “What is Leija all about? What is Leija’s heart saying?” And the more I said NO to those limiting thoughts that said there was wrong with me for being who I authentically was, the more I grew into my power. Now I’m at a point where I absolutely LOVE my job- I connect with the most wonderful people! Sure, my job requires a lot of effort. Anyone who works with people doing any kind of counseling or teaching work can probably relate. BUT, I love connecting with people, helping them get down to the root of their dis-ease, guiding and inspiring!
