A lot of people think that renting is just throwing money away, but there are times when it actually is better to rent. It is more cost-effective to rent and accumulate a down payment or wait for the market to come back into equilibrium. The dream of homeownership is part of our American culture, but timing has to be taken into consideration.
The market conditions indicate that the home values and housing market have stabilized; however, depending upon housing location or area. Renting is still relatively inexpensive versus maintaining an operating cost of owning a home mortgage. Although appreciation from home ownership is an advantage for owning, renting allows flexibility and less risk from mortgage defaults. Renters can also choose to invest money in stocks and mutual funds as an option to home appreciation. "

If America did collapse economically, HONESTLY, would people die from starvation, lack of medical care, etc…?

lack of food, medicine, no money to pay for filteration and cleaning of our water, no money to buy resources to survive comfortably and pay for houses, NO JOBS TO FEED YOUR FAMILY AND MAKE THEM INSURED???I mean whats going to happen. There are some people who just sit back (Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, my parents) and say it may get tuff, but no one is going to die, and things will get better just like they alway do in America.

But then theres people like (Pat Robertson, Glenn Beck, Gerald Celente, my history teahcer) who say we’re becoming the worst third world country in years or less and will be worst than the 30′s or African countries like Zombia. I have a sick cousin, how will she get treatment if theres no money or jobs for insurance, and the country goes broke

ME AND MY DAD ARE PETRIFIED!!! The US has never defaulted on its debt, and if it does, I don’t wanna die. I mean, our money will be worhtless, no one can buy anything, the other countries would collapse and a nuclear war would start. I don’t wanna die cause of nuclear war or from starving like in Africa, Im not even in college yet, and if they don’t work it out i might not get the loans to next year. Gerald Celente says we’re doomed, I”m scared..HELP!!!!!

this is the third time in the past 6 months my parents have said they are going to get a divorce…?

my parents have been married for 25 years and im 17, i also have a sister who is 19, she is married with two kids already.
my family isn’t a family anymore…i hate my mother and try to stay away from her cause we don’t have that bond that mothers and daughters have. she is the laziest person i know but i deal with her so i don’t hurt her feelings. She hasn’t worked in 2 years and has now passed off her only job of ‘paying the bills’ to my father. She usually wakes up at 3pm, talks on the phone all day to my sister and grandmother and watches dr phil, etc. I do all the cleaning she never does ANYTHING around the house. Her and my dad fight all the time. He is the only provider for this family and makes really good money. The first time the announced their divorce i was so happy. i would love to live with my dad and get away from everyday shouting and throwing dishes. my mom actually looked at appartments the next day. But dad is the type of guy that can’t live by himself..so of course he offers to go to counsling and they do that. They schdeduled a couples weekend retreat…but after my dad told her she bitched to much and wouldn’t have sex with her anymore….well she canceled it and the divorce was back on. After a few more of those my mom told me yesterday it was back on. My dad hasn’t slept in the same room as my mom in over a year and has been sleeping on the couch. But as of yesterday he moved into the room beside me. Today my mom called to tell me they are gonna try and work on their relationship again. UGH IM SO FURSTRATED! i think they are staying together because of me…cause im a senior in high school. But i hate living with them together. i would be soooo happy if they could spilt and me just stay with my dad. Their constant fights are drving me mad and what am i supposed to do? tell them i want them to just finally get a damn divorce??
