I believe very little of this can be blamed on President Obama. He has only been in office for a few weeks, but Bush 2 was in power for the last 8 years (and the Republican-controlled Congress for 6 years), and he spent money like it was going out of style. That is where, IMHO, at least 98% of the blame lies. There is nothing racist in stating the obvious about this disaster as one responder claims.
